Introduction

This ancient city is located on the coast of the Taiwan Strait and is one of the most well-preserved cruciform stone ancient cities in China. During the Ming dynasty, the castle was built in this vast sea area to resist the invasion of Japanese pirates. The main attractions of the scenic area include the ancient city walls, stone carvings, and rocky reefs from the sea. In the residential area under the city wall, the earliest residents of Chongwu lived, and they were descendants of the anti-Japanese army at that time. Climbing up the old city wall and looking far away at the lighthouse, you can see the outline of the city wall and the figure of Mazu. Stone carvings are one of the most representative landscapes in Huian, and they can be seen everywhere. Although it has been commercialized now, it is still very good for taking photos. There are rocks and shells on the beach by the sea. Along the coastline to the middle beach, you can catch small shrimps and crabs when the tide recedes. There are also many restaurants on the coast where you can enjoy barbecue food.
