Introduction
The Guozigou Bridge in Xinjiang is one of the largest and most important bridges in the region, and it is also the first highway cable-stayed bridge with steel truss girders in the country. This bridge combines new technology, structures, processes, and equipment, making it a significant breakthrough in the history of Xinjiang's road construction. The project used many leading domestic techniques, such as large volume concrete temperature control technology, tower asynchronous construction technology, hydraulic climbing formwork and self-propelled moving mold, accumulating valuable experience for the construction of highways in mountainous areas in China.
After the Guozigou Bridge is completed and opened, it will effectively solve the problem of travel difficulties in the Ili River Valley, allowing the Ili Prefecture to have all-weather access to Urumqi. This will be of great significance to the stability and economic development of border areas.
Throughout the design and construction process, the Guozigou Bridge has adhered to the environmental protection concept of "minimum destruction, maximum restoration." While overcoming the impact of frequent geological disasters on traffic, the bridge construction personnel also carried out environmental restoration work. The completed bridge blends perfectly with the surrounding beautiful scenery, adding a beautiful landscape to the Guozigou National Scenic Area.
