Introduction

The Tarim Poplar Forest National Forest Park, located 70 kilometers south of the desert highway in Luntai County, Bazhou, Xinjiang, China, covers a total area of 100 square kilometers. It boasts the largest original poplar forest in the entire Tarim River basin and is the best choice for exploring the ancient Silk Road cities, admiring the poplars along the Tarim River, observing oil in LunTai and witnessing the sand sea in Tazhong. Transportation
Take a bus from Bazhou Bus Passenger Transport Terminal to Luntai County (10:00-21:00, approximately one every 30 minutes, fare 38 yuan, journey time about 2.5 hours), then transfer to a bus to Taheqiao Town at Luntai Passenger Transport Station (10:00-18:00, every 2 hours, fare 18 yuan). Get off at the entrance of the park and when returning, you can take a bus from Taheqiao Town to Luntai County on the roadside. The latest bus from Luntai County to Korla leaves at 20:00.
