Introduction
The Fengyan Ancient Terraced Fields Scenic Area in Huanglong, Yanping, and Cigou Villages in Xuanwo Town, Hanyin County, Shaanxi Province consists of Fengjiang Terraced Fields and Yanping Terraced Fields, located 35 kilometers away from the county seat. The terraced fields are situated at an altitude between 500 and 650 meters and cover a total area of over 12,000 mu. There are approximately 300 terraces, with each level ranging from 0.3 to 1 meter in height, 3 to 15 meters in width, and the longest level reaching over 600 meters. Irrigation for the terraced fields comes from four streams: Huanglong, Cigou, Lengshui, and Longwang, providing abundant water resources and ensuring water flows all year round. The Fengyan Ancient Terraced Fields have been in existence for more than 250 years, embodying the combination of "mountains, water, fields, houses, stockades, villages, temples, and agriculture," representing the characteristics of "deep, elegant, peculiar, fresh, and magnificent," and is a great masterpiece of coexistence between humanity and nature.
