Introduction
Wuyanling is the only forest-type national nature reserve in Wenzhou, located at the boundary between subtropical and temperate zones, with an average annual temperature of 26℃ and a total area of 300,000 mu, including 22,000 mu of primary forests. The national nature reserve has significant tourism advantages. Firstly, the mountainous ecosystem is intact and rich in species, with 2,150 plant species, of which 21 are key protected plants; there are over 50 national key protected animals, including the yellow-breasted pheasant, clouded leopard, leopard, black muntjac, white-necked long-tailed pheasant, and golden eagle, which are all first-class national protected animals. Therefore, it is known as the "green ecological museum" and the "natural gene pool of biological resources." Secondly, the mountain scenery is beautiful, displaying stunning natural landscapes. There are 17 peaks over 1,000 meters in the area, and Wenzhou's highest peak, Baiyunjian, and the source of Zhejiang's third-largest river, Feiyunjiang, are both located in the area. The unique geological environment of streams and waterfalls, shallow rapids, and deep forests has formed a beautiful natural landscape in Wuyanling, which is extremely suitable for adventure leisure and self-guided tourism projects to explore primitive wilderness. Finally, the natural and simple mountain village buildings are rich in local customs and culture. The northern part of the county includes the basin of Sanchaxi River. Due to the characteristics of high mountains, deep valleys, and old trees, the underdeveloped transportation and dispersed villages have led to the ancient features of the home construction and life customs of mountain people, especially the She people, being well preserved.
