Introduction

On May 12th, 2008 at 2:28 pm, a massive 8.0 magnitude earthquake struck the Wenchuan area of China, with the epicenter located near the Xuankou middle school. This strong earthquake caused great damage to Xuankou middle school, which had 1527 students and 133 teachers. During the earthquake, 43 students, 8 teachers, 2 staff members, and 2 family members unfortunately lost their lives, while 27 students and 2 teachers were seriously injured.
