Introduction
Huayang Town has existed since the Qin and Jin periods and was once one of the famous post stations on the Tanglu Ancient Road. After becoming a town in the Qin and Han dynasties, it remained an important center of ancient military, political, and economic activities, with its prosperity and wealth dating back to the Tang and Song dynasties. The Ming and Qing architecture and ancient towers and theaters from the Song and Yuan periods are well-preserved in the town, complemented by towering arches, mottled city walls, secluded alleys, and Ming and Qing residences, adding to the charm of the ancient town. As one of the many ancient towns in the Qinba Mountains of southern Shaanxi, Huayang Ancient Town has unique characteristics and historical value. The 25th Red Army once established a revolutionary base in the Huayang Soviet Area. There are also many attractions around, such as Yangjiagou, Cangeryai, Chaoyang Mountain, and Shitahe.
