Introduction
The Mu Us Desert in northern China is one of the four major deserts, with the Great Wall running through its southern edge. The grasslands used to be rich and lush, but due to human destruction, they turned into a desert. After decades of sand control and afforestation projects, the vegetation is now dense and the desert has become an oasis. Autumn is the best season for visiting, with cool and pleasant weather.
