Introduction
Zhaitang Reservoir is located in the southwest of the main gorge of Qingshui River in Mentougou District, Beijing. It is the largest and most beautiful reservoir in the area. The reservoir is surrounded by scenic spots such as Lingshan, Baihua Mountain, and Longmenjian. The 109 national highway passes through the north bank, making transportation convenient. The water source comes from streams such as Huangtagou, Xiaolongmengou, Lingshan, Longmenjian, and Damogou. The Qingshui River flows through this area. The natural environment around the reservoir is beautiful with green mountains on both sides, the sound of birds and the fragrance of flowers. Wild ducks and other water birds nest and breed here, making it vibrant. Although the reservoir has not been fully developed, the number of people who come here for fishing, camping, and swimming every year has exceeded 5000, indicating its popularity.
