Introduction
The original name of Honghe Valley was Chishui River or Chiyu River, with its source at Shushuikou in Taibai Mountain. It was named after the Honghe Dan Cliff, one of the "Eight Scenic Wonders of Taibai". The area is characterized by the unique landscape represented by the Honghe Dan Cliff and the Quaternary glacier relics. The Honghe Dan Cliff is composed of red quartzite, with mountain rocks cracking and water flowing, and the stones at the bottom of the river are mainly red, giving the appearance of a red river. You can enjoy the stunning peaks of Doumu, the peaceful sea of clouds, and the Honghe Dan Cliff, as well as the magnificent scenery of the "Snow Accumulation on Taibai", one of the "Eight Scenic Wonders of Guanzhong". Additionally, you can witness the amazing glaciers without climbing high mountains.
