Introduction

The first tourist resort and vacation area in China, located in the Nanhai Peninsula of Maogang District, Maoming City, Guangdong Province, is an important part of the Shuidong Bay provincial tourist and vacation resort. Construction of the area began in 1993, and it became famous for its hundred-mile protective forest known as the "Green Great Wall" and its natural beaches that stretch for over ten kilometers. The beaches here have white sand and clear water, attracting tourists every year to sunbathe and swim. Fajiao Island, located 8 nautical miles from the shore, is known as a famous diving tourist destination, with clear and beautiful surroundings. After years of development and construction, there are now over 10 hotels and resorts in the area, including 3-star hotels with more than 1000 beds. The tourist area also offers multiple routes, such as sightseeing tours of Fajiao Island and the Yanjingling Tongzi Bay sea tour, and has introduced many tourism and entertainment projects, such as power kites, gliding windsurfing boards, kite surfing boards, and beach entertainment vehicles. Additionally, the tourist area holds different themed tourism festivals and celebrations every year, such as kite festivals, national culture and joyous months, and cultural and artistic festivals, as well as hosting domestic and international beach volleyball competitions. The first beach in China, with its beautiful environment, good order, and high-quality service, has attracted thousands of tourists for sightseeing and vacationing and has been honored with titles such as "Guangdong Province environment and health management excellent scenic spot," "Maoming City superior scenic spot," and "Guangdong leisure vacation destination."
