Introduction

Located on the eastern side of the city center of Turpan, about 3 kilometers away, the Karez Folk Park is a themed scenic spot based on Karez Irrigation System culture and one of the most famous attractions in Turpan. The area is not large, only a few hundred meters long and wide, and can be visited on foot. Visitors can learn about Karez Irrigation System culture, taste Uyghur cuisine, experience Uyghur residential architecture, and also shop and stay here, which is very suitable for tourists in Turpan. The main building in the park is the Karez Irrigation System Museum, which showcases the working principle and excavation process of the Karez Irrigation System. On the north side of the museum is a prototype of the Karez Irrigation System, where visitors can enter the underground Karez Irrigation System channel to understand its operation principle. In addition, there are traditional Uyghur folk buildings such as the raisin drying room and the Anarhan's house in the park, where visitors can observe the traditional architecture of Xinjiang and the processes of drying raisins and baking naan. The park also has Uyghur-style hotels and restaurants, allowing visitors to experience the unique architecture and cuisine. The price of a standard room in a hotel is about 350-400 yuan, and the dining prices are relatively high. It is recommended to confirm the prices before dining. There is also a shopping street in the park, where visitors can buy souvenirs.
