Introduction

This museum is located at the southwest corner of Shuicheng and was built on the site where ancient ships were excavated. It is the essence of the entire city and is divided into two parts: above ground and underground. The roof simulates traditional Chinese shipbuilding techniques, restores three ancient ships, and constructs a spectacular scene of berthing in the harbor. The underground exhibition hall mainly displays four ancient ships from the Yuan and Ming Dynasties found in two dredging operations in 1984 and 2005. These sunken ships are the core exhibits.
