Introduction
The Changkong Plank Road is one of the most thrilling attractions on Mount Huashan. It is located on a steep cliff about 2160 meters high. Visitors can walk along the chiseled footpath, and under their feet is a deep gorge. The plank road is divided into three sections: upper, middle, and lower, with a total length of about 50 meters. The most thrilling part is the lower section, where visitors must face the cliff wall and stay close to it while wearing a safety harness. At the end of the plank road, visitors can see the Hezu Cave, which is said to be the site of the founder of Huashan, He Zhizhen Taoist. It is important to note that the Changkong Plank Road is a one-way path, so visitors must return along the same route, essentially experiencing two adventures.
