Introduction

Shaoshan Tourist Area, located in Shaoshan City, Hunan Province, is only about 108 kilometers away from Changsha, the capital city of Hunan Province. It is the hometown of Comrade Mao Zedong, the pioneer of the Chinese Revolution, and a national patriotic education base. The Shaoshan Tourist Area gathers historical sites such as Mao Zedong's former residence, bronze statue, memorial hall, relics museum, poem monument forest, and commemorative park. It also has natural scenic spots that are popular among tourists, such as the mysterious "Western Cave" Drip Water Cave and Heishi Fortress. Shaoshan's tourism industry is rapidly rising due to its unique revolutionary culture and natural ecology. It has become one of the four major revolutionary memorial sites in China and is a true 5A-level scenic spot. Shaoshan has a favorable geographical and climatic condition, belonging to the subtropical monsoon humid climate zone, with distinct four seasons. The annual average temperature is about 16.7℃, and the rainfall is abundant, with an average annual precipitation of about 1358 millimeters. It has a frost-free period of more than 280 days and an annual average sunshine time of about 1717 hours. The forest coverage rate is as high as 56%, and the air is refreshing, known as the "natural oxygen bar".
