Introduction

The unique capital ruins left by the Xiongnu people in history is the Tung Wan City, which the locals affectionately call Baise. The city wall is white and consists of three parts: the palace city, the inner city, and the outer city. It is built using the rammed earth construction technique, so needles cannot penetrate the walls. The ancient city still retains traces of city walls, city gates, horse faces, and corner towers. The highest existing building is the southwest corner pier, reaching 31.62 meters. If you are fascinated by history and border culture, then you cannot miss this ancient city that once stood in the Mu Us Desert for more than 1600 years.
