Introduction

The eight main institutions of the Manchukuo include the Department of Public Security (Military Department), the Department of Justice, the Department of Economy, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Education and Culture, the Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Department of People's Livelihood. These institutions collectively formed the governance structure of the Manchukuo. The complex is composed of various buildings and courtyards, and forms a group of buildings in the center of the Geological Palace, which present grandeur and elegance with different architectural styles.
