Shuangyang Ice Thaw Cave Scenic Area is located about 85 kilometers southeast of Changchun City. It is the best season to visit the ice thaw cave tourism area in summer. It not only has lush vegetation but also serves as a great place to escape the summer heat, especially suitable for exploring the cave. The scenic area has various attractions such as Laosiao Cave, Ice Cave, Sunset Tower, Wolf Valley, Kilometer Plank Road, Tiantian Cave, Luohan Cave, Maitreya Palace, Laodao Cave, and Tiger Cave. The Sunset Tower is the first scenic spot to enter the scenic area, sitting on top of a mountain peak at the entrance to the mountain, and looks mysterious from afar. Beyond the Sunset Tower is a primitive grand canyon, which is known as Wolf Valley. In spring, you can enjoy the blooming golden daylilies here. The 82-meter deep ice cave is a major attraction in the scenic area, with two layers inside. The ice waterfall in the cave, the ice stalactites, the colorful ice, the unique calcite on the cave walls, and the living organisms inside the cave, such as red bats, are the five highlights of the ice cave. Among them, the milky white ice stalactites hanging from the top of the cave are the most spectacular, with the longest one reaching three meters.
