Introduction

The natural landscape of Meijiang features karst landforms, which includes rich and diverse surface and underground landscapes, meeting the basic conditions of becoming a national geological park. The unique geological landscape of Meijiang differs significantly from other famous landscapes such as Yunnan Stone Forest, Guangxi Guilin and Hunan Zhangjiajie, presenting a distinctive style. Meijiang boasts a large number of various types of karst caves, which is extremely rare in China.

Transportation
Transportation: There are buses from Lianyuan Railway Station to various locations on the Meijiang River, with the final stop being the reservoir. It is recommended to hike back from the final stop. Classic attractions include Cangjundong and Xianrenfu. In summer, you can also hike through Tianlong Gorge (round trip). Driving Directions: 1. From Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan and other places to Meijiang National Geological Park: Changsha-Shaoguan-Loudi Expressway → Qiaotouhe exit → Datang → Meijiang Dongting Village → Meijiang National Geological Park. 2. From Loudi to Meijiang National Geological Park: Route 1) Loudi (Changsha-Shaoguan-Loudi Expressway) → Qiaotouhe exit → Datang → Meijiang Dongting Village → Meijiang National Geological Park. Route 2) Loudi → Zushidian → Dutoutang → Qiaotouhe → Datang → Meijiang Dongting Village → Meijiang National Geological Park. 3. From Huaihua, Shaoyang and other places to Meijiang National Geological Park: Huaihua, Shaoyang and other places → Lianyuan Shimashan exit → Zhumei → Longtang → Datang → Meijiang Dongting Village → Meijiang National Geological Park.
