Fengxue Temple, located 9 kilometers northeast of the downtown area of Ruzhou City, is situated in the Fengxue Mountain at the southern foot of Shaoshi Mountain in Zhongyue Songshan. Commonly known as Xiangji Temple, Qianfeng Temple, and Baiyun Zen Temple, it is currently a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. Originally built in the first year of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the temple has undergone numerous renovations and expansions during different historical periods, including the Northern Wei, Tang, Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, with a total area of about 50 acres. It was once as famous as Baima Temple, Shaolin Temple, and Xiangguo Temple, and is regarded as one of the "Four Famous Buddhist Temples in Zhongyuan". The entire temple complex preserves over 140 buildings from the Eastern Han, Northern Wei, Tang, Song (Jin), Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, making it a "Museum of Ancient Architecture" from seven different eras. The most precious buildings are the Tang Dynasty Seven Father Pagoda, the Song Dynasty hanging bell tower, and the Jin Dynasty central Buddha Hall, which are considered the three national treasures of Fengxue Temple.
