Introduction

Turtle Peak is located in Yiyang County and belongs to a typical Danxia landform. Due to natural weathering, the mountain rocks here have formed many shapes resembling turtles, hence the name "Turtle Peak". Turtle Peak is a world natural heritage site, a world geopark, a national scenic spot, a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, a national forest park, and also a gem in the economic circle around Poyang Lake. Its natural landscape is unique, and it can be said that "where there are mountains and rocks, there are turtles". It also has a deep cultural heritage, becoming a popular tourist spot in many literary works, such as the famous tourist Xu Xiake and the major scene in the TV drama "Journey to the West".
