Introduction

Located in Yibin City, Sichuan Province, Xingwen Shihai is the first global geopark, a national scenic spot, and a national AAAA tourist area. It is adjacent to the Shunan Bamboo Sea and covers a total area of 156 square kilometers. Over the course of 500 million years of geological transformation, it has given birth to three extraordinary wonders, including the Stone Sea. The night tour of the Stone Sea is a recent highlight of the resort. When night falls, thousands of colorful lights decorate the surface of the Stone Sea like a fairy tale, making it one of the most beautiful landscapes in Southwest China. The surface area of the Stone Sea is 14 square kilometers, concentrated with all types of karst landforms, including strange peaks, grotesque stones, ridges, and blue water. It is a typical representation of the unique natural and geographical features of Southern Sichuan. The resort also includes Xiequ Garden, Seven Sisters Peaks, Leopard Mountain, Mao Gou Mountain, a Fossil Maze, as well as eight scenic spots of Bo and Miao Zhai. Each scenic spot has its own unique features and extraordinary views. In addition, the ancient Miao village in the Stone Sea is one of the main venues for traditional festivals, sacrifices, and other large-scale gatherings of the Miao ethnic group in Xingwen. Here, tourists can experience the unique cultural characteristics of the Miao people, including their weddings, songs and dances, customs, rituals, clothing, and food. It has its own charm and is one of the best places to learn about the Miao culture.
