Introduction
Shaofeng Scenic Area is located in the southern part of Shaoshan Chong, about 3 kilometers from Mao Zedong's former residence, with an altitude of up to 520 meters. It is the highest peak in Shaoshan and is also known as Xian Ding Peak. Because it stands alone in the mountains, there is a beautiful description in legend: "Standing on the top of Shaofeng, overlooking the mountains is like watching descendants, and looking south, you can see Nan Yue Dongting Lake."
Shaofeng Scenic Area has beautiful scenery and is praised as a famous historical and cultural site with eight scenic spots, namely: Shaofeng towering, Yanzi ancient well, stone cliff gate, Qing Shi Wu, Ta Ling Qing Xia, Xian Nu Mao An, Fengyi Pavilion site, and Stone Wall Creek. Shaofeng is the 71st peak of the Nan Yue Mountain Range, which is more than 200 meters higher than the 72nd peak, Yunlu Peak in Changsha Yuelu Mountain.
