Introduction
Manchuan Pass, an ancient town, is located in Manchuan Town in the southeastern part of Shanyang County. It is adjacent to the Jinqian River and Jinjia River, and is named after its wide body of water. In history, Manchuan Pass was a barrier between Qin and Chu, and now it is on the border of Shaanxi and Hubei. It has been fortified through the ages and was a port for water and land transportation until the Longhai Railway was opened. It became one of the important distribution centers for material exchange among Shaanxi, Hubei, Henan, Sichuan, and Chongqing. Nowadays, Manchuan Pass has convenient transportation, with a bus station connecting the Shanman Highway, Seman Highway, and Manjin Highway.
