Introduction

The Gongtang Pagoda is located at the southwest corner of Labrang Monastery and is famous for housing an immeasurable light Buddha statue from Nepal. Climbing the pagoda tower provides a panoramic view of Labrang Monastery, making it a desired location for many photography enthusiasts and one of the most popular pilgrimage sites of the monastery. Walking down the Gongtang Pagoda, crossing the wooden bridge over the Daxia River, and climbing up the hill to the sunbathing platform provides a spectacular view of Labrang Monastery, though it may be slightly further from the pagoda tower.

Transportation
To get to Labrang Monastery, there are several transportation options available: By bus: 1. From Lanzhou South Bus Station, there are five buses heading to Xiahe at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 14:00, and 15:00. The journey takes about 4 hours and the ticket price is 75 yuan. 2. From Hezuo City North Bus Station, there are buses to Xiahe every half an hour from 7:00 to 16:00. The journey takes about 1 hour and the ticket price is about 15 yuan. 3. From Langmu Temple Town, there is one bus to Xiahe at 14:00. The journey takes about 4 hours and the ticket price is 70 yuan. After arriving in Xiahe, you can turn right at Xiahe Bus Station and walk straight up the slope to reach Labrang Monastery. Alternatively, you can take a taxi, with fares ranging from 1 to 3 yuan per person depending on the distance within the county. By car: You can drive along G213 and then turn onto S312 towards Wangtang until you reach Labrang Town.
