Introduction

There is a historic royal garden on the southern slope of Qionghua Island in Beihai Park, which includes an ancient white Tibetan-style Lama Tower. The hall in front of the tower was originally named White Tower Temple, but was renamed Yong'an Temple during the Qianlong period. The White Tower stands in the center of Qiong Island, facing south, and is the highest point of Yong'an Temple. The Yong'an Bridge is also connected between the island and the shore for tourists to come and go. Yong'an Temple is located within the official garden, with a roof covered in yellow and green glazed tiles and a dragon-shaped pattern on the ridge, which contrasts with other beautiful scenery in the garden.
