Introduction

Located on a high ground at the northwest corner of the Old Town of Tongxin County, Tongxin Mosque is the largest and oldest existing Islamic architecture site in Ningxia, originally built in the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty. As a witness of history during the revolutionary period, Tongxin Grand Mosque is one of the famous cultural relics. The autonomous region has also included it in the first batch of key cultural relics protection units.
