Introduction

The headwaters of the Urumqi River are located at the Tianshan Mountains, which is the closest glacier to the city, with over 150 modern glaciers of different sizes and remnants of ancient glaciers, thus being known as the "glacier living fossil." Here, you can admire the crystal-clear light blue glacier silver waterfall and visit the 80-meter-long ice cave dug by researchers. There are cliffs around, many marmots can be seen, and if lucky, you can also see snow lotus.
