Introduction

Jingzhou City, also known as Jiangling City, is one of the first 24 historical and cultural cities announced by the State Council and one of the national key cultural relics protection units. Located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the Jianghan Plain, Jingzhou is one of the birthplaces of Chu culture and has produced historical and cultural heritage comparable to the Central Plains culture in the Yellow River basin. The ancient city wall of Jingzhou is located at the Jinan City site five kilometers north of the city, leaving behind a rich heritage of historical and cultural relics. Jingzhou is one of the birthplaces and breeding grounds of the Three Kingdoms culture, and its important position and role in the evolution of China's long history have strongly promoted the development and progress of the ancient city of Jingzhou.
