Introduction

Sun Moon Lake's name comes from its crescent shape. The park is covered by 96% of trees and is recognized as the largest man-made forest sea in Asia due to its ecological environment. It is the sister lake of Taiwan's Sun Moon Lake. This place is not only the center of ecological tourism and leisure but also a great place for sports and fitness. You can choose to hike, rent a bike, or go on a self-drive tour. Every winter, the lake freezes and turns into a natural ice rink. Various unique ice activities are available. Also, there is a large ski resort here. The annual Changchun Ice and Snow Tourism Festival and the Changchun Jingyuetan Vasaloppet International Cross-Country Skiing Festival are held here as well.
