Introduction

1. Labrang Monastery is one of the six major monasteries of the Gelug School of Tibetan Buddhism, and is also one of the most famous Tibetan tantric colleges in the world, with the most comprehensive Tibetan Buddhist teaching system in China. 2. The monastery is of grand scale, including stunning temple buildings, numerous giant Buddha statues, and various exquisite sculptures, murals, and ritual objects. 3. The prayer wheel corridor of Labrang Monastery is very long, with over 2,000 prayer wheels, taking at least an hour to turn each one. Such a long corridor is very rare in the world. 4. In the southwest corner of Labrang Monastery, you can see an ancient wooden bridge spanning the Xia River, leading to the top of the Buddha-drying terrace where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Labrang Monastery. 5. The traditional way to visit Labrang Monastery is to walk clockwise along the temple, which is also a religious ritual of Tibetan Buddhism.
