Introduction

Bao Gong Temple was restored and rebuilt in memory of Bao Zheng, a famous ancient Chinese upright official and political reformer. Located on the west side of Bao Gong Lake in Kaifeng, Henan Province, it is a major attraction in the Central Plains tourism area. The temple is composed of a main hall, second hall, east and west auxiliary halls, a half-wall corridor, and a tablet pavilion, with an antique and solemn style. The Ling Shi Garden on the east side of the temple is composed of stone carvings and waterside pavilions, which are very exquisite and elegant. Inside Bao Gong Temple, visitors can admire cultural relics such as bronze statues of Bao Gong, dragons, tigers, and dogs, wax statues of Bao Gong solving cases, the tablet inscription of "Naming the Officials of Kaifeng", Bao Gong's historical novel, his poem of entering government and achieving ambition, the tablet inscription of "Naming the Officials of Kaifeng", his family motto, his calligraphy and epitaphs, and other historical materials, fully showcasing Bao Gong's important role in Chinese history.
