Introduction
There is a place called the Damo Cave located in the northwest direction of Shaolin Temple in Songshan, Dengfeng City, Henan Province. It is about 2 kilometers away from Fuqiu at the foot of Wuru Peak. Only one large hall, two small pavilions, and a restored Thousand Buddha Pagoda remain here. Near the top of Wuru Peak, there is a natural stone cave about 5 meters deep and 3 meters wide, which is where Damo practiced facing a wall for nine years and thus named "Damo Cave".
