Introduction

Chaiwobao Great Salt Lake is an important salt production area in Xinjiang, with vast salt-alkali land surrounding it appearing as if it's about to melt. Countless animal remains and fragments of discarded items are scattered throughout the lakebed, as if transported to another dimension. At sunset, the Great Salt Lake sparkles with an especially bright light against the dark background. A freshwater lake adjacent to the Great Salt Lake is just 5 kilometers away, yet their lakebeds are connected, despite the salt lake being at a higher elevation. The two lakes have distinct characteristics. In addition, there is a Han and Tang Dynasty beacon tower site on the east bank of the Great Salt Lake that is worth seeing.
