Introduction
Loushan Pass is an essential tourist attraction of the revolutionary history in Zunyi. Located at the junction of Zunyi and Tongzi counties, Loushan Pass is the main peak of the Dalou Mountains, also known as Lou Pass or Taiping Pass. It is surrounded by lofty mountains, so steep that it is said, "One man guards the pass, and ten thousand men cannot get through." Due to its strategic location, it has always been a military stronghold, controlling the access to Sichuan in the north and Guizhou and Guangxi in the south.
In February 1935, the First Red Army passed through the Loushan Pass, after crossing the Chishui River for the second time, and defeated four regiments of the Guizhou army. Then they successfully occupied the Loushan Pass and opened the curtain of the Zunyi Meeting, gaining the first great victory since the Long March. From that time on, the Loushan Pass has become a famous revolutionary memorial site in northern Guizhou. Address Lou Shan Guan Town, Huichuan District, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province
