Introduction

Linkeng in Huangnan Township is a village with a history of over 700 years, and most of the residents have the surname Mao. Legend has it that the Lin family originally settled here, and later exchanged surnames with the Mao family in the nearby Daoji Village, where the Mao family has thrived ever since. Zhao Qunli was the deputy director of Hong Kong's Phoenix TV and was known as "China's top aerial photographer". Unfortunately, he died in an accident in Linkeng, which brought this unknown small mountain village to fame and became a popular tourist destination for many hikers. However, Linkeng is not just a name as it preserves the most complete mountain dwellings along the Nanxi River. These dwellings have a long history, some of which are over 100 or 200 years old. The wooden houses here are beautifully designed, perfectly blending in with the landscape, and are quaint and natural. The houses are built along the mountain, arranged in a harmonious and unified manner, with small bridges, flowing water, and smoke from cooking fires, amidst the white clouds, making one feel as if they are in a different world.
