Introduction

On Mount Jiuhua, a famous Buddhist mountain, there is a millennium old pine tree that is over 1400 years old. It is said to have been planted by the famous monk Huaidu during the Northern and Southern Dynasties. The shape of the pine tree is like a phoenix spreading its wings, and is affectionately called the "Phoenix Pine" by the locals. It is not as widely known as the "Welcoming Pine", but its unique appearance and historical background are worth people's attention. Even the artist Mr. Li Keran once praised the Phoenix Pine as the "number one wonder pine in the world". If you want to explore it, you can find this ancient pine tree near the bell tower in the "Minyuan Ni'an Group". After taking the cable car down the mountain, walk down the stone steps and turn right for about 15 minutes to reach it.
Opening hours

Transportation
Located in the Jiuhuashan Scenic Area, the transportation methods to get to Jiuhuashan are as follows: 1. Train Station: After arriving at the train station, take the Chijiu line or Chiqing line from the Chizhou Bus Station in front of the train station to Jiuhuashan. - Chijiu Line: The terminal station is Jiuhuashan (Ke Village) Bus Station (about 50 minutes drive), where you can transfer to the scenic area shuttle bus to Jiuhu Street (about 30 minutes drive). - Chiqing Line: Take the Chiqing line towards Qingyang and get off at Wuxi (about an hour's drive, ticket price 6 yuan). Transfer to a minibus to Qingyang- Jiuhuashan (Ke Village Transfer Center), with one every 15 minutes and a travel time of about half an hour, with a ticket price of 4 yuan. The Chizhou train station is about 50 kilometers away from the Jiuhuashan Scenic Area. It costs about 100 yuan to take a taxi from the train station to Jiuhuashan, which takes around an hour. 2. Long-distance bus: The Jiuhuashan Bus Station is located on Ke Village New Street, which is the place for Jiuhu Street buses to stop and also a ticket sales office for Jiuhuashan Scenic Area. Jiuhuashan Bus Station has opened nearly 30 regular lines, connecting Tongling, Anqing, Wuhu, Hefei, Nanjing, Shanghai, Yiwu, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Huangshan, Chizhou, Qingyang and other places. 3. Intra-scenic transportation: - Jiuhuashan Scenic Area implements intra-area traffic control. From Friday noon to Sunday afternoon, self-driving up the mountain is not allowed, and vehicles can only be parked in Jiuhuashan New Zone parking lot and then transferred to the scenic shuttle bus to go up the mountain. Therefore, it is recommended that if you need to drive up the mountain, try to avoid weekends. Jiuhuashan Scenic Area parking fee: vehicle entrance fee is 10 yuan/car, overnight parking fee is 40 yuan/car, and non-overnight parking fee is 25 yuan. - Tricycle: In Jiuhuashan, you can also choose tricycles in addition to walking. Generally, there are two kinds: electric and manual. They can accommodate 2-3 people and the price is about 3-5 yuan/person. - Scenic Shuttle Bus: Jiuhuashan Scenic Area is very large, and there are shuttle buses traveling between Ke Village and Jiuhu Street, and between the major scenic spots within Jiuhuashan Scenic Area. The ticket office is located at the Ke Village Bus Station, and tourists can choose to buy tickets. Each boarding point can only be used once, and someone will hole-punch the ticket upon boarding. It should be noted that there are multiple boarding points, such as Ke Village, Fenghuangsong, Huxing Shanzhuang (i.e. Tian Tai Cableway), Yingxian Bridge (Jiuhu Street), and Huatai, but there is no arbitrary back-and-forth between them. For example, the bus to Huatai only goes to Ke Village, so you must re-purchase the ticket and board the bus again to go up the mountain. Therefore, if you come out from Huatai, you must go through the procedures for entering the mountain again.
