Introduction
The history of Baishui Palace can be traced back to the Ming dynasty, but the temple seen today is a Qing dynasty building. The temple enshrines the flesh of the flawless monk from the Ming dynasty, who was named "Baishui Palace" because he passed away at the age of 126.
The main building is arranged in a north-south direction, resembling a city wall, with white walls and black tiles built along the mountain ridge. The temple is interspersed with rocks from the mountain, adding a quaint and natural charm.
According to legend, in the third year of the Qing dynasty's Xianfeng period, Baishui Palace suffered a major fire, but the flawless flesh suddenly raised its hands, and a heavy rain extinguished the fire. The believers believed that this showed the long-lasting power of the flesh, and therefore, people who came to burn incense and worship the Buddha were endless.
The mountain where Baishui Palace is located is not high. It takes about 30 minutes to climb to the top from Jiuhua Street, or you can choose to take the Baishui Palace cable car. The one-way ticket price is 55 yuan, and the round-trip ticket price is 100 yuan. Address "219 Provincial Road, Jiuhua Mountain Town, Qingyang County, Chizhou City, Anhui Province, China."
