Introduction

Huacheng Temple was founded by monks in the fifth year of the Long'an period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and was officially established during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty. The temple is surrounded by mountains, like a fortress, it is the oldest main temple of Jiuhua Mountain and also the dojo of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. The temple is located in the center of Jiuhua Street, which is the place for food and accommodation in Jiuhua Mountain, and there is a row of small shops on both sides of the street. The crescent-shaped pond in front of the gate is said to be the release pond of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. The main building of Huacheng Temple consists of four sections, arranged along the central axis. The most beautiful is the Mahavira Hall. If you enter the hall, be sure to look up at the roof, as there are colorful "Nine Dragons playing with pearls" coffered carvings, a treasure of art. Transportation
Located in the Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area, the transportation methods to Jiuhua Mountain are as follows: 1. Train Station: After exiting the train station, take the Chijiu line or Chiqing County to Jiuhua Mountain from the Chizhou bus station in front of the station. - Chijiu line: the final stop is Jiuhua Mountain (Kecun) bus station (about 50 minutes by car). Transfer to the scenic area shuttle bus here to Jiuhua Street (about 30 minutes by car). - Chiqing line: Take the Chiqing line towards Qingyang and get off at Wuxi (about one hour by car, ticket price 6 yuan). Transfer to the minibus from Qingyang to Jiuhua Mountain (Kecun Transfer Center), which runs once every 15 minutes and takes about half an hour, with a ticket price of 4 yuan. Chizhou train station is about 50 kilometers from Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area. Taking a taxi from the train station to Jiuhua Mountain costs about 100 yuan and takes about an hour. 2. Long-distance Bus: Jiuhua Mountain Bus Station is located in Kecun New Street, which is the stop for Jiuhua Street buses and also the ticket sales office for Jiuhua Mountain. Jiuhua Mountain Bus Station has nearly 30 lines to Tongling, Anqing, Wuhu, Hefei, Nanjing, Shanghai, Yiwu, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Huangshan, Chizhou, Qingyang, and other destinations. 3. Transportation in the Scenic Area: - Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area implements traffic control within the scenic area, and self-driving cars are not allowed to enter the mountain from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. They can only park at the Jiuhua Mountain New District parking lot and then transfer to the scenic area shuttle bus to go up the mountain. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid weekends if you must drive up the mountain. The parking fee for Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area is 10 yuan per car for passage, 40 yuan per car for overnight parking, and 25 yuan without overnight parking. - Tricycle: In addition to walking, tricycles are also available in Jiuhua Mountain, usually with both electric and human-powered options. They can accommodate 2-3 people and cost about 3-5 yuan per person. - Scenic area shuttle bus: Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area is large, and there are shuttle buses from Kecun to Jiuhua Street and between major scenic spots in the scenic area. Tickets can be purchased at the Kecun bus station, and each boarding point can only be ridden once. There will be someone punching the ticket upon boarding. It should be noted that there is no back-and-forth between multiple boarding points, such as Kecun, Fenghuang Pine, Huxing Mountain Villa (to the Tian Tai Cableway), Yingxian Bridge (Jiuhua Street), and Huatai. For example, the bus from Huatai only goes to Kecun, so you must buy a new ticket to board the bus to enter the mountain again. Therefore, you must complete the procedure for second entry into the mountain when leaving Huatai.
