Introduction

Aksu-Kul lake is located on the western slope of the Tianshan Mountains in Bediltaw, shaped like a Y, it is 6,600 meters long, with varying widths, reaching up to 1,900 meters at its widest point, and covering an area of 8.5 square kilometers. The lake water is semi-transparent and milky white in color, appearing slightly cloudy. This is due to glacial movement grinding rock fragments into a white powder, which is carried by the river into the lake, resulting in the white color. In the Kazakh language, it is called the "white lake". The lake is like a mirror, with surrounding peaks, glaciers, grassy fields, and fragrant flowers, and changing clouds. In Aksu-Kul, the most complete taiga in Siberia can be seen, and it also grows rare Xinjiang five-needle pine. There is a spectacular scenery formed by a huge boulder lying across the lake mouth. In addition, the lake's water is white throughout the year, which is extremely rare. It is said that this is because glacial movement grinds granite into white powder, which is then carried by the river and injected into the lake. Aksu-Kul Lake is a good place for cold-water fish to gather, and autumn is a paradise for the reproduction of various cold-water fish species.
