Introduction

Yaze Lake is located within the Kanas Scenic Area, composed of the abandoned Niuyelake basin after the Kanas River flowed through it, shaped like a butterfly. The lake has a wide and gentle circumference, with a mirror-like surface. In summer, flocks of wild ducks and geese inhabit and breed in the lake area, creating a spectacular scene as they fly and flap their wings on the water. Cows and sheep graze by the lake, with several white Mongolian yurts dotted around, emitting smoke and adding to the beautiful natural scenery. On the highland grassland by the river to the northwest of Yaze Lake, there is a pile of stones, which is the "Obo" of the Tuva people. Every year, they hold worship and "Obo Festival" here, praying for livestock prosperity and family peace.
