Introduction

West of Sidaowan in Kanas Lake, there are two narrow connected small lakes, called Twin Lakes or Sister Lakes. The lake water is clear and transparent, emitting a light green color, looking like a piece of green crystal. There are also many lovely little red fish in the lake. The surrounding area is dense with primitive spruce forests, full of tranquility and serenity. However, you should also be careful of the appearance of wild animals such as brown bears, deer, and wild boars.

Transportation

Flying to Kanas takes 1 hour by car from the airport to the Jia Deng Valley (entrance to the scenic area). Self-driving: It takes 10 hours from Urumqi to Burqin (including meal time in between); It takes about 2 hours from Burqin to Jia Deng Yu (150km). Taking a bus from Urumqi to Burqin, and then chartering a car to Kanas, or taking a bus to Hemu (there is a bus every morning at 10:00). Afterward, you can charter a car from Baihaba Village or Kanas Scenic Area.
