Introduction

The Fish Watching Platform, located on the top of the Camel Peak on the west coast of Kanas Lake, was originally built for observing the "lake monster". Therefore, it was named "Fish Watching Platform". With an altitude of over 600 meters, it is the best angle to enjoy the panoramic view of Kanas Lake. From here, you can see three-quarters of the lake surface, as well as the winding mountains and green peaks reflected in the lake, and you can also look north to Friendship Peak. Therefore, climbing the Fish Watching Platform has become a must-do for visiting Kanas. There are two ways to get to the Fish Watching Platform. One is by car, and it costs 60 yuan per person for a one-way trip. However, walking down the mountain can save you 60 yuan. For physically fit tourists, it is recommended to climb the mountain by walking up the stone steps before the exit of the lake. There are a total of 1068 steps, which takes about 1.5 hours.

Transportation

Flying to Kanas, it takes 1 hour to drive from the airport to Jia Deng Valley (the entrance of the scenic area). Driving from Urumqi to Burqin takes 10 hours (including meal time), and then it takes about 2 hours to get from Burqin to Jia Deng Valley, which is about 150km away. Taking a bus from Urumqi to Burqin, then chartering a car to Kanas, or taking a bus to Hemu (there is a bus at 10:00 every morning). Taking the Kanas scenic area shuttle bus, the pick-up location is Jia Deng Valley Ticket Station, and the departure time is from 8:00 in the morning to 21:00 in the evening during peak season, with a bus every 5 minutes. There are 5 duty interval buses at night. The route passes through Jia Deng Valley, Tuojing Bay, Huaqiu Valley, White Birch Forest, Wolong Bay, Moon Bay, Shengquan, Shenxian Bay, Yaze Lake, Kanas Village, and Kanas Lake.
