Wuyi Mountain Scenic Area - Shuilian Cave Scenic Spot, A Natural Marvel of Cascading Veils
4.9
Introduction
Wuyishan Shuilian Cave, formerly known as Tangyao Cave Heaven, is located on the east side of the Danxia Range. It is the largest natural cave in Wuyishan and is known as the "best in the mountains". The cave is dozens of feet high and wide, and the uneven rock walls form multiple caves. These caves are well-ventilated and can accommodate thousands of people. Several temples have been built inside, all of which are built on the cliff without using any tiles. There is a spring waterfall inside the cave that cascades down from the top of the peak, creating a scenic view like "a sunny and rainy Red Cliff with thousands of clear streams, and ten thousand pearls highlighting the hanging curtain."
In addition, there are Sanxian Temple, which enshrines the Song Dynasty literati Liu Zihui, Zhu Xi, and Liu Gong, as well as Sanjiao Hall, which enshrines Confucius, Laozi, and Sakyamuni. There are also three sites of Qingwei Cave Zhen Temple. In addition, there are many cliff carvings on the rocks, among which the most famous is the two characters "live spring".
