Introduction

Mount Yuntai, also known as the North Peak of Mount Hua, has an elevation of 1,614 meters and boasts breathtaking views. Prominent attractions include the Zhenwu Hall, Jiaogong Stone Room, Changchun Stone Room, Yuniu Window, Xianyou Gong, Shentu Cliff, Yiyun Pavilion, Laojun Guali Area, Tieniu Terrace, and Baiyun Wonderland Stone Arch. Each attraction has its own beautiful mythological legend. Although the North Peak is not as high as the other peaks, it is a must-visit destination when climbing the four peaks of Mount Hua. Its terrain is extremely steep and precipitous, with cliffs on three sides and only a single mountain ridge leading to the south. It is a strategic location that is easy to defend and difficult to attack. The story of "Outwitting Mount Hua" took place here. In 1949, remnants of the Nationalist Party attempted to hold out on the treacherous North Peak of Mount Hua, but the People's Liberation Army received guidance from local villagers and successfully climbed the peak from a precarious location using tools such as bamboo poles and ropes, thus annihilating the defenders of Mount Hua.
