Introduction

Yuquan Temple is located at the southern end of Yuquan Road in Huayin City, Shaanxi Province. It is adjacent to the foot of Mount Huashan and is one of the main Taoist activity sites on Mount Huashan. It is also a must-visit place for tourists on their way to Huashan Gorge. Legend has it that during the Tang Dynasty, Princess Jin Xian accidentally dropped her jade hairpin while getting water from the Yuquan in Zhenyue Palace. When she returned to Yuquan Temple, she accidentally found the long-lost jade hairpin in the spring water. She realized that there was a connection between the spring water and the Yuquan, so she named it Yuquan. Thus, Yuquan Temple got its name.
