Introduction

It is said that the famous pharmacist of the Tang Dynasty, Sun Simiao, once lived in the Medicine King Cave near the Zhuyu Peak while collecting herbs. The cave is located halfway up the Zhuyu Peak, with a natural stone entrance on the upper wall. Inside the cave are stone statues of Sun Simiao and two of his disciples, carved with donations from local people including Li Tianyou during the Jin Dynasty. There is also a thousand-year-old ancient Chinese yew tree measuring over 20 meters tall with a thick trunk and lush branches and leaves at the cave entrance. In addition, in the eighth year of the Qing Dynasty's Tongzhi era (1869), a "perpetual ban on gambling" monument was erected to discourage the ancient pilgrims who camped at the northern peak of the Zhuyu Peak from gambling.
