Introduction
Located on a plateau above an altitude of 1000 meters, the Moon Lake Scenic Area covers a total area of 10 square kilometers. The lake emits a moon-like glow on the vast grasslands, hence its name "Moon Lake," which is known as Salarnor Lake in Mongolian. In the beliefs of the Mongolian people, the sun and moon are sacred existences. Moon Lake brings together multiple natural landscapes such as forests, grasslands, and lakes. The lake spans an area of over 6000 square meters, with a depth of 6 meters, and is located at an altitude above 1400 meters. To the north is a neat and lush man-made forest, while to the southwest are adjacent to the Yudaokou Pasture. In addition, the TV drama "Huan Zhu Ge Ge" has used Moon Lake as an outdoor filming base, with most of the scenes filmed here. Transportation Located in the Saihanba National Forest Park, there is no public transportation within the scenic area, so visitors can only hire a car or drive by themselves to get there.
