Introduction

Baihu Canyon Natural Scenic Area is located in Yangfang Town and is a part of the Taihang Mountain range. The total area is 4.6 million square meters, with the highest peak reaching 850 meters. The area is known as "Thousand Peaks of the Divine Mountains" and is one of the famous "Yanping Eight Scenic Spots" due to the spectacular mountain peaks and scenery. The unique scenery in the area includes undulating mountains, endless clouds, deep stone canyons, and dense forests. The beautiful mountain peaks, bird songs, and clear streams form three scenic routes. Beijing's back garden has over 500 natural landscapes and has been a holy land for imperial visits since the Jin Dynasty. The famous "Thousand Peaks of the Divine Mountains" and "Huijin in the Tiger Gorge" of the "Yanping Eight Scenic Spots" left many emperors enchanted. There are also ancient temples and Taoist temples dating back 1,400 years in the scenic area. This place is also the birthplace of Kublai Khan who established the capital of Beijing, and it is also the original scene where Qiu Chuji comprehended the truth and Wu Cheng'en conceived the images of Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie in "Journey to the West".

Transportation
Take bus route 914 to Yangfang and then take a taxi directly to the scenic spot; or take bus route 330 to Xixiaoying and transfer to bus route 911 to Yangfang. Driving: Take the Yiyang Road to Yangfang and then drive 3 kilometers in the direction of Baihujian. Take bus route 642 from West Second Ring Road subway station to Baihujian and get off at the opposite side of the road and transfer to Chang 57, then get off at Baihujian Village and walk about 1500 meters to the ticket office.
