Introduction

Jiufeng Forest Park, located in Xiaoxishan Scenic Area, Haidian District, Beijing, is only 18 kilometers away from the famous Summer Palace. It is a well-known forest park in Beijing and an experimental forest of Beijing Forestry University. The park is adjacent to Dajue Temple in the south and Yangtai Mountain Scenic Area in the north. Looking at Jiufeng from afar, two peaks stand facing each other, resembling a flying eagle with wings spread out, vivid and lifelike. Therefore, it was named Jiufeng. Jiufeng Forest Park has many wonders, and the most striking one is its abundant tree species resources. Despite being only a few steps away from the capital city, the park has such dense forests that are astonishing. The park covers an area of more than 800 hectares and can be called a treasure trove of green plants. The forest coverage rate is as high as 96.2%, with a total of 684 species of land plants in 110 families and 313 genera, making it a natural reserve for green plants. In March and April, the park is covered with peach and apricot blossoms, which is particularly spectacular.
